Summary: The Electrical Systems Test Engineer role involves preparing and executing test procedures for satellite systems, providing technical support during testing, and ensuring compliance with test specifications. The position requires hands-on experience with spacecraft testing and the ability to develop and debug automatic test procedures. The engineer will also participate in technical reviews and support the test operations team in troubleshooting. This is a 12-month contract position based in Stevenage, requiring SC clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret electrical and functional test requirements from specifications.
- Provide test solutions from planning through execution, including coding and debugging test sequences.
- Support the test operations team during spacecraft tests and manage anomalies.
- Conduct post-test reviews and prepare test reports.
- Develop and debug Automatic Test Procedures (ATP) using specific software languages.
- Provide technical inputs to project test reviews and non-conformance boards.
Key Skills:
- Hands-on experience writing test sequences/scripts for spacecraft tests.
- Knowledge of Elisa and JAVA programming languages.
- Familiarity with TMTC Databases and spacecraft systems/subsystems.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages, particularly Linux/Unix bash scripts.
- Competence in using electrical measurement test equipment.
