Summary: The Electrical Systems / Calibration Technician role involves maintaining and calibrating control cabinets while ensuring compliance with electrical standards and wiring regulations. The technician will support assembly technicians and facilitate the integration of hardware solutions for customer projects. The position is contract-based in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, with a focus on quality and safety standards. Candidates must possess the right to live and work in the UK and have relevant technical skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Share technical knowledge with assembly technicians.
• Power up different hardware platforms for project engineering application software loading and testing.
• Complete electrical inspection and testing prior to hardware power-up.
• Act as an Authorised Electrical Person responsible for electrical connection notices and isolation procedures.
• Maintain registers for setup and connection of legacy test equipment and test racks for Safety Systems.
• Ensure hardware is prepared for shipment after testing activities.
• Recommend quality and efficiency improvements within the integration centre team.
• Report progress and technical problems.
• Maintain test and calibration records for I/O measurement and simulation.
• Take ownership of system log registers for hardware defects and execute resolutions.
• Support engineering with FAT activities as required.
• Complete all procedural and documentation requirements for systems under test.

Key Skills:

• Current electrical standards and wiring regulations (BS 7671).
• Familiarity with Process Control Systems (Honeywell DCS and Safety Systems preferred).
• Competent IT skills with experience in Microsoft Office.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with computer/IT systems.
• Right to live and work in the UK at the time of application.
