Summary: The Electrical Supervisor (Night Shift) role involves overseeing nighttime electrical activities at a major Energy Recovery Facility project in Chester. The position requires ensuring safety, quality, and compliance while managing electrical teams and subcontractors. The supervisor will also conduct inspections, maintain documentation, and resolve electrical issues during night shifts. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and coordinating electrical teams during night shifts
- Managing subcontractors and liaising with the day team and Principal Contractor
- Ensuring compliance with BS 7671 and all applicable safety standards
- Conducting and overseeing nighttime quality inspections
- Maintaining accurate site documentation and logs
- Addressing and resolving electrical issues that arise overnight
- Monitoring and managing resources and materials
- Supporting and mentoring electricians working night shifts
Key Skills:
- Gold ECS Supervisor Card
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (Testing & Inspection)
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification
- Proven supervisory experience on large-scale, live construction sites
- Experience working under a Principal Contractor
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, regulations, and site safety
- Must be based locally or within commuting distance of Cheshire
