Summary: This role is for an Electrical Start Up Lead to manage the commissioning and start-up of electrical systems for a significant greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Ohio. The position involves overseeing electrical vendors and project team members, ensuring the successful installation and validation of various electrical systems. The project represents a major investment exceeding $1 billion, highlighting its scale and importance. The contract duration is 10 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the commissioning and start-up of electrical systems for a greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
- Coordinate and supervise daily work of electrical vendors, and project team members during start-up.
- Ensure installation, energization, testing, and validation of electrical systems including:
- Power distribution (low and medium voltage)
- MCCs, switchgear, panelboards
- Standby generators and UPS systems
- Grounding and bonding
- Conduct equipment walkdowns, support energization and loop checks, and manage issue tracking/resolution.
Key Skills:
- Extensive utility or mechanical system start-up experience, preferably on large capital projects.
- Prior experience with gray utility systems (non-GMP)
- Experience coordinating or leading start-up teams of vendors and skilled trades.
- Greenfield/start-up project experience is strongly preferred.
