Summary: The Electrical Site Manager will oversee all electrical works on a commercial construction project, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This freelance role involves managing subcontractors, coordinating site activities, and maintaining accurate records. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills, along with relevant experience in electrical project management. The role is based in Liverpool, Merseyside.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for managing electrical works on site
- Manage and coordinate electrical subcontractors, supervisors, and operatives
- Interpret and manage works in line with drawings, specifications, and design information
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor site activities to meet programme milestones
- Ensure health & safety compliance, including RAMS, PPE, and safe systems of work
- Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Main Contractor, and other trade managers
- Carry out regular inspections and quality control checks of electrical installations
- Review test & inspection paperwork and oversee commissioning activities
- Track progress, identify risks or delays, and implement mitigation measures
- Manage snagging, defect resolution, and final handover documentation
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, timesheets, and material usage
Key Skills:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Electrical Site Manager or senior supervisory role
- Proven experience delivering commercial or industrial electrical projects
- Valid ECS Gold Card
- SSSTS (SMSTS preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
