Summary: The Electrical Services Engineer role involves contributing to critical infrastructure projects within a global engineering and defence firm. The position requires technical expertise and leadership to deliver electrical engineering solutions, working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Discipline Lead in delivering electrical engineering work packages across scope, schedule, quality, and cost parameters.
- Manage technical deliverables associated with Electrical Services, ensuring alignment with project plans.
- Collaborate within the Major Infrastructure Projects Business Unit, liaising with design teams and stakeholders.
- Provide expert technical input to sub-contracted design houses for compliant design outputs.
- Contribute to project planning, specification, budgeting, and risk management processes.
- Operate in compliance with design governance, quality assurance, and health & safety standards.
- Utilize engineering software and tools for documentation and technical analysis.
- Design electrical building services including fire detection, lighting systems, site broadcast systems, and HVAC integration.
Key Skills:
- Degree or HND in electrical engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards registration with the Engineering Council.
- Experience in managing complex design developments throughout the lifecycle.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services and design-to-construction support.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering design software and tools.
- Understanding of engineering standards, regulations, and safety requirements in high-assurance sectors.
