Summary: The Electrical Project Engineer role involves leading and managing site teams on water treatment projects for a well-established engineering consultancy in North Wales. This contract position is outside IR35 and requires full-time on-site presence. The successful candidate will ensure safety standards, coordinate project aspects, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. A competitive day rate of £400-450 is offered based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the site team and subcontractors, ensuring top safety standards, team performance, and effective issue resolution.
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of the project including design, procurement, manufacturing, and installation.
- Communicate effectively by chairing meetings, producing reports, and liaising with clients, designers, and third parties.
- Support project delivery by preparing safety documentation, helping with subcontractor selection, and motivating the team to meet targets.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of IEE or BS 7671 electrical installation standards.
- Relevant CSCS card and SMSTS qualification.
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Relevant vocational qualifications (NVQ 3 Site Supervision, ONC, HNC) - desirable.
- Experience with Water Utility or clean/wastewater projects - desirable.
- Experience managing NEC contracts - desirable.
- Ability to write RAMS and knowledge of CDM regulations - desirable.
