Summary: The Electrical Modification Technician role involves performing mechanical and electrical modifications, testing, and commissioning within a safety-critical environment. The technician will work from detailed modification materials and collaborate with various teams on tasks ranging from software updates to mechanical adjustments. Previous experience in rail or related industries is preferred but not essential. The position requires a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in an electrical discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out mechanical and electrical modifications, exam tasks, and system testing.
- Work from modification materials including written instructions, engineering drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Test and commission modifications, including lighting systems, wiring, and HVAC adjustments.
- Collaborate with teams on various systems, including software updates and mechanical adjustments.
- Perform safety-critical tasks as per the Service Agreement.
Key Skills:
- Level 3 or equivalent qualification in an Electrical discipline.
- Experience in rail, electrical installation, or related fields.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of testing and inspection procedures.
- Familiarity with HVAC and process engineering systems.
