Summary: The Electrical Manufacturing Technician role at a leading Defence Organisation in Stevenage involves working as a subcontractor on an initial 12-month contract. The technician will be responsible for assembly, inspection, and testing of electrical products, ensuring compliance with build standards and quality requirements. The role is classified as inside IR35 and requires on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assembly, inspection, and testing of electrical products.
  • Certify products in accordance with certification procedures.
  • Maintain product certification through regular audits.
  • Utilize equipment, tools, and measuring instruments effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures and safety standards.
  • Complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
  • Communicate best practices to team members and maintain a safe working environment.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in electrical wiring and assembly.
  • Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21/HNC.
  • Proven planning and organizing skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a team environment.
  • ESD training and no colour blindness.
  • Colophony health surveillance.
