Summary: The Electrical Manufacturing Technician role at a leading Defence Organisation in Stevenage involves working as a subcontractor on an initial 12-month contract. The technician will be responsible for assembly, inspection, and testing of electrical products, ensuring compliance with build standards and quality. The position requires a versatile skill set and the ability to certify products while maintaining high workmanship standards. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement with a focus on teamwork and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to a Team Leader for daily task direction.
  • Perform assembly, inspection, and testing of electrical products.
  • Certify products in line with certification procedures.
  • Maintain product certification through regular audits.
  • Utilize equipment, tools, and measuring instruments effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing build and inspection times.
  • Complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and product quality.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and good housekeeping practices.
  • Communicate best practices to team members.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified craftsman with relevant experience in electrical manufacturing.
  • Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21/HNC.
  • Experience in electrical wiring and assembly.
  • Ability to certify products and maintain compliance.
  • Proven planning and organizing skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable team player with customer focus.
  • ESD training and no colour blindness.
  • Colophony health surveillance.

Salary (Rate): 29.57
