Summary: The Electrical Maintenance Engineer role involves ensuring the operational efficiency of a medical products manufacturing site through planned and reactive maintenance. The position requires problem-solving skills in electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to integrate new technologies. The engineer will also be responsible for health and safety compliance and contributing to electrical specifications for machinery contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance to maximize site uptime.
- Utilize plant metrics to drive continuous improvement of process equipment.
- Support the integration of new machinery and technology into operations.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical problem-solving and fault diagnosis.
- Ensure health and safety compliance during engineering interventions.
- Issue permits and host service contractors after training.
- Contribute to electrical specifications for machinery supply contracts.
- Capture engineering changes and ensure updates are made.
- Support maintenance strategies and recording systems for mechanical systems.
- Understand clean room controls and manage site infrastructure systems.
Key Skills:
- Understanding of clean room or controlled environment controls (HVAC, Humidity, Pressure Cascades).
- Experience in Electrical Systems, Operations, and Maintenance.
- Management of site infrastructure systems (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Fire Protection, LV Electrical networks).
- Fluent PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ideally MS Project, CAD).
- Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems such as Maximo.
