We are considering the addition of an Electrical Engineering Lecturer to our academic team at a prominent institution in Southwest London.
This role, which may be offered on a temporary or permanent basis and can be either full-time or part-time, is ideal for a candidate who is deeply passionate about electrical engineering and enthusiastic about imparting knowledge to students.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver lectures and practical sessions in electrical engineering, covering topics such as circuit theory, control systems, and electrical power.
- Develop and prepare comprehensive course materials, including syllabi, lecture content, and laboratory exercises.
- Assess and evaluate students' work through assignments, tests, and lab activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic progress, and grades.
- Facilitate and lead discussions in the classroom, encouraging innovative thinking and problem-solving among students.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in electrical engineering and integrate modern technology and practices into the curriculum.
- Provide academic and career guidance to students, helping them to navigate their educational and professional paths.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in teaching or a similar role within the field of electrical engineering.
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development in both teaching and electrical engineering fields.
- Flexibility to work in a potential role, adapting to temporary or permanent contracts as well as full-time or part-time schedules.
