Summary: The Electrical Engineer role based in East London involves overseeing the electrical infrastructure of a food manufacturing site, focusing on maintenance and upgrades of electrical power networks. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Site Electrical Duty Holder, responsible for the plant's electrical infrastructure.
- Plan upgrades and maintenance of medium and low voltage electrical power networks.
- Manage PPM planning and improvements to electrical power distribution systems, including transformers, PLCs, turbines, motors, VSDs, and MV/LV switchgear.
- Provide hands-on electrical assistance and guidance.
- Collaborate with the Site Electrical Manager on capital electrical projects.
- Drive continuous improvements, RCA, FMEA, and long-term planning.
- Ensure compliance with electrical legislation.
Key Skills:
- Experienced industrial electrical engineer.
- Background in manufacturing is beneficial but not essential.
- Previous experience as a Site Electrical Duty Holder or Senior Authorised Person.
- Proficient with PLCs, VSDs, and electrical systems up to 11KV.
- HND/Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
- Completed a recognized apprenticeship.
- Experience in ATEX/CompEX environments is beneficial.
- Strong PPM and maintenance planning experience.
- Experience managing continuous improvement capital projects.
