Summary: The role of Electrical Engineer involves delivering electrical design work for complex multi-disciplinary projects within the Design & Advanced Technology team, focusing on major UK water infrastructure projects. The position requires collaboration with clients and teams, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This is a hybrid role based in locations such as Epsom, London, Peterborough, or Cambridge. The contract is for six months and falls inside IR35 regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver electrical design work on complex multi-disciplinary projects
  • Produce technical documentation including SLDs, Load Schedules, MCC Specifications and Control Philosophies
  • Coordinate Electrical & ICA engineering activities
  • Support project delivery to agreed timelines and budgets
  • Work closely with clients and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Mentor junior engineers and support technical development
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards and quality requirements

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, CEng or IEng preferred
  • Strong electrical design experience within consultancy, industrial or process environments
  • Experience using electrical design software such as Trimble/Amtech
  • Knowledge of HAZOP, earthing, lighting, DSEAR and ATEX practices
  • Water industry experience desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

We are recruiting for two experienced Electrical Engineers to join the Design & Advanced Technology team, supporting major UK water infrastructure projects.
