Summary: The Electrical Engineer role involves installing and testing electrical components and high voltage gas circuit breaker (HV GCB) equipment at the client site. The position requires an experienced professional who can work independently with general supervision and tackle difficult problems. The engineer will report to the site supervisor for task allocation and work sign-off. The role follows a 12 days on, 2 days off shift pattern at Dinorwig Power Station in Llanberis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Works - Switchgear, protection cubicles and panels
  • Make off Cables
  • Fit Harting Plugs
  • Fault Finding
  • Install and connect CT/VTs
  • Assist in GCB timing Tests
  • Report to site supervisor/manager for task allocation and work sign off

Key Skills:

  • Practical knowledge of electrical engineering

Salary (Rate): £28/hr.

Electrical Engineering Engineer - Installs & tests electrical components & HV GCB equipment on Client Site. Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiency: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

Role is based at Dinorwig Power Station, Llanberis (LL55 4TY) - 12 days on 2 days off shift pattern - Up to 10 hours working days
Travel time can be included as bookable hours. No shift allowance on top.
