Summary: The Electrical Engineer role involves installing and testing electrical components and high voltage gas circuit breaker (HV GCB) equipment at the client site. The position requires an experienced professional who can work independently with general supervision and tackle difficult problems. The engineer will report to the site supervisor for task allocation and work sign-off. The role follows a 12 days on, 2 days off shift pattern at Dinorwig Power Station in Llanberis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Works - Switchgear, protection cubicles and panels
- Make off Cables
- Fit Harting Plugs
- Fault Finding
- Install and connect CT/VTs
- Assist in GCB timing Tests
- Report to site supervisor/manager for task allocation and work sign off
Key Skills:
- Practical knowledge of electrical engineering
- Experience with high voltage equipment
- Ability to work independently with general supervision
- Problem-solving skills
- Experience in fault finding and testing
Salary (Rate): £28/hr.
