Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys, visits, and client meetings.
- Create HV electrical cable routing drawings and cable schedules.
- Perform HV electrical engineering design and prepare cable diagrams and loop diagrams.
- Draft scope of work documents for HV electrical installations.
- Develop and check engineering design datasheets.
- Prepare vendor packs for tender invitations and liaise with vendors.
- Conduct technical evaluations of estimates.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to meet vendor package and design requirements.
- Provide technical assistance on equipment specifications and bid compliance.
Key Skills:
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I), minimum HNC, preferably a degree.
- Experience with HV calculations and project management within set timescales and budgets.
- Knowledge of ATEX Directives for electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
- Experience in attending and representing at project meetings with stakeholders.
- Desirable experience in distribution and motor control, as well as Pro/Engineer software.
- Demonstrable experience in UK onshore HV electrical engineering within a COMAH environment.

Addison Project Plc is seeking a contractor to provide High Voltage Electrical Engineering services for a period of 12 months. This service will be provided from our Daresbury office, however we will consider applications for either Middlesbrough, Thornton-Cleveleys or Harlow offices, along with those offering services on a part time ad hoc basic.
Services to be provided
- Site, surveys, visits and client meetings
- HV Electrical Cable routing drawings & cable schedules
- HV Electrical Engineering Design
- HV Electrical cable diagrams, Loop diagrams
- HV Electrical installation Scope of Work documents
- HV Electrical datasheets
- Checking and approval of Engineering Design
- Prepare vendor packs for invitation to tender and vendor liaison
- Technical evaluations of estimates
- Liaise with other disciplines; process, piping, mechanical, civil structural to co-ordinate requirements for vendor packages and design
- Technical assistance on equipment specifications and compliance of bids
Person specification
You must possess suitable and relevant qualifications within EC&I, minimum of an HNC preferably a degree.
Experience of relevant HV calculations, problem solving and ensuring projects remain to specification within set timescales and to budget is essential
A good working knowledge of ATEX Directives for selection of electrical equipment in Hazardous Areas would be beneficial.
You must have experience attending and representing at Project Meetings with a range of stakeholders.
Distribution and motor control experience is desirable as is experience of Pro / Engineer software
Demonstrable experience of UK onshore HV Electrical Engineering within a COMAH environment.
