Summary: The role of Contract Electrical Designer involves supporting the design and delivery of bespoke control panels and electrical systems. The position requires full lifecycle electrical design responsibilities, including schematics, AutoCAD Electrical drawings, and project management. The contractor will also conduct site visits as necessary. This is an immediate requirement for a contractor with a competitive hourly rate based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design and delivery of bespoke control panels and electrical systems.
- Responsible for full lifecycle electrical design, including schematics and AutoCAD Electrical drawings.
- Manage project-led work and quotations.
- Conduct occasional site visits and respond to on-site issues as needed.
- Produce general arrangements, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
Key Skills:
- Strong AutoCAD Electrical experience (essential).
- Proven experience in control panel design and electrical schematics.
- Ability to produce general arrangements, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
- Experience managing project-led work and quotations.
- Comfortable with site visits and responding to on-site issues.
- Previous work as an Electrical Designer in industrial or engineering sectors.
- Multiskilled and flexible, able to work in a fast-paced project environment.
