Summary: Redfish is seeking an Electrical Design Manager with a strong electrical background to co-manage a team and oversee the delivery of electrical designs for London Underground projects. The role requires experience in managing teams and projects, preferably with prior LU/TfL project experience. The position involves both office and remote work arrangements, reflecting a flexible working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-managing a team of 12 Electrical Engineers and 3 CAD Technicians.
- Managing the delivery of electrical designs to support London Underground projects.
- Liaising with the client/third parties.
- Dealing with design issues and supporting the rest of the team with their design work.
- Carrying out technical reviews of electrical design packages.
- Providing management support to the CAD team.
- Organising surveys carried out by the installation team.
- Managing resource and assisting with further recruitment if required.
- Managing the design programme.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical design processes, deliverables, and software packages.
- Experience managing teams and projects.
- Previous LU/TfL project experience preferable.
- Technical background in electrical engineering.

Redfish are partnering with a growing force in MEP design and build projects. Due to a major project ramping up they are seeking to recruit a Design Manager with a strong Electrical background.
Main duties
- Co-managing a team of 12 Electrical Engineers and 3 CAD Technicians.
- Managing the delivery of electrical designs to support London Underground projects.
- Previous LU / TfL project experience preferable
- Strong knowledge of electrical design processes, deliverables, and software packages required.
- Role may suit a Senior / Principle / Associate Electrical Engineer with experience managing teams and projects, or a Design Manager with a sufficient technical background.
Some key responsibilities:
- Managing the design programme.
- Liaising with the client / third parties.
- Dealing with design issues and supporting the rest of the team with their design work.
- Carrying out technical reviews of electrical design packages.
- Providing management support to the CAD team.
- Organising surveys (these are carried out on our behalf by our installation team).
- Managing resource, assisting with further recruitment if required.
The role will be 3 days a week in the office and 2 days WFH
