Summary: The Electrical Design Engineer role involves supporting Project E&I design teams in delivering and checking design packages to ensure they meet safety, functional, and business requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Support Project E&I design teams in delivering and checking design packages.
- Ensure designs meet safety, functional, and business needs.
- Provide support to construction and commissioning teams.
- Convey information effectively to team members and other disciplines.
- Mentor and support early career engineers.
Key Skills:
- HNC qualification in a relevant field.
- Incorporated Engineer professional qualification.
- Eligible for Security Clearance.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
- Working knowledge of Engineering Standards for electrical supply infrastructure.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Hours: 37 hours over 4½ days a week
Location: Working 3 days a week minimum in Warrington, Cheshire.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years successfully delivering as an Electrical Design Engineer on external multidiscipline projects, from concept design through to handover, with a working knowledge of the appropriate Engineering Standards governing the following works:
- Electrical Supply Infrastructure: Small power, lighting and earthing
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convey information to other team members/disciplines
- Providing support to Construction
- Providing support to Commissioning
- Willingness to support early career engineers
Desirable:
- Minimum 5 years successfully delivering as an E&I Design Engineer on multidiscipline projects, from concept design through to handover, with a working understanding of the appropriate Engineering Standards governing the following works:
- Electrical Supply Infrastructure: Small power, lighting and earthing
- Radiometric & Special Instruments
- Safety Systems
