The Role:
This role is for an Electrical Design Engineer—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.
You’ll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
- Development and delivery of electrical design packages from concept through to detailed design.
- Producing engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and technical substantiation to support new installations, system modifications and infrastructure projects.
The Individual: We’re looking for people who can show:
- Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Electrical design packages within a highly regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of LV and HV power distribution systems.
- Electrical calculations, technical specifications and design substantiation.
- Knowledge of electrical design standards and industry codes of practice.
- Knowledge of BS 7671, IEC standards and relevant industry regulations.
- Experience using CAD and electrical design software.
- Experience working in defence, nuclear, energy, infrastructure or industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with ETAP, Amtech, Trimble, AutoCAD Electrical or similar design tools.
- Experience supporting design reviews, hazard assessments and safety case documentation.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and technical report-writing skills.
- Salary circa £50 000 per annum
