Summary: The Electrical Design Engineer role focuses on supporting control panel and automation projects through electrical design using EPLAN. This position is a 6-month contract, offering a competitive hourly rate and the potential for extension. The role requires a strong background in electrical design and the ability to work in a hybrid office environment. Immediate availability is preferred for candidates with the necessary skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical design using EPLAN (P8 preferred)
- Producing control panel electrical schematics and drawings
- Creating and updating electrical documentation packs
- Generating BOMs, cable schedules, I/O lists and related documentation
- Supporting engineering changes through build and commissioning stages
- Working closely with panel build teams and project engineers
- Ensuring all work meets relevant standards and customer requirements
Key Skills:
- Strong background as an Electrical Design Engineer (industrial / automation / panel design)
- Good working knowledge of EPLAN (P8 ideal)
- Control panel design and electrical documentation experience
- Ability to work in the office 3–4 days per week
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a project team environment
