Summary: The Electrical Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing projects from initial scoping and detailed design to implementation, ensuring adherence to client specifications and regulatory standards. This position is based in the Manchester area with hybrid working arrangements. The role requires expertise in the water sector and involves various technical responsibilities related to electrical design. The contract is for a duration of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, instrument and actuator schedules
- Power supply assessments
- Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams and Termination Drawings
- Cable routing and cable calculations
- Production of URS documentation
- Liaison with MCC and System Integration sub-contractor
- Lighting and Lightning studies
- P&IDs and electrical schedules
- Contribution to HAZOPs and ALMs
- Contribution to DSEAR studies
- Water sector experience
Key Skills:
- Electrical design expertise
- Experience in the water sector
- Proficiency in creating electrical diagrams and schedules
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance
- Strong communication and liaison skills
- Ability to contribute to safety studies (HAZOPs, DSEAR)
