Summary: Chroma Recruitment is seeking an experienced EC&I Engineer to join a leading gas industry company, focusing on the design and implementation of advanced electrical control systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead EC&I project design packages, ensuring high standards and compliance
  • Deliver precise and efficient EC&I designs, including cable calculations, within budget and project timelines
  • Develop risk assessments and method statements
  • Produce and maintain FS/FAT documentation to support project delivery
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, Software, and CAD teams to ensure seamless design integration
  • Prepare documentation for Formal Safety Assessments and O&M manuals

Key Skills:

  • HND/Degree in Electrical, Controls Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in EC&I Engineering, including ATEX equipment and intrinsically safe circuits (IS loops)
  • Strong electrical and control systems background with proven experience in a structured design environment
  • CompEx EX12 certification
  • Experience designing EC&I systems for hazardous areas
  • Previous work within the Oil & Gas industry
  • EPlan experience

We’re looking for a highly skilled EC&I Engineer to play a key role in the design and implementation of advanced electrical control systems. This is a contract role operating Outside IR35.

The Role

As an EC&I Engineer , you’ll be at the forefront of engineering excellence, focusing on explosion protection (ATEX), intrinsically safe circuits, and hazardous area design . You’ll work in a multi-disciplinary environment, contributing to critical national infrastructure projects while.
