Summary: The Electrical Buyer role involves purchasing electrical components for construction projects, focusing on supply chain management and supplier relationships. The position requires maintaining a supply chain tracker and collaborating with commercial and accounting departments for cost forecasting. This is a 12-month hybrid contract based in London, classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply chain management – building relationships with existing & new suppliers, negotiating competitive pricing and ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain & update a supply chain tracker, with all key details included, such as supplier specialty, agreed payment terms, credit limit, any applicable rebates.
- Monitor monthly spend with each supplier.
- Liaise with the Commercial & Accounting departments to forecast costs weekly & monthly.
Key Skills:
- Construction industry experience buying electrical components.
- Ideally experience in Commercial, Industrial or Rail sector.
- Able to read technical drawings.
- Good MS Office Excel, Word, Adobe skills.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
