Summary: The E&I Lead / Subject Matter Expert (SME) role in Northern Ireland involves overseeing design and construction activities for an ongoing API construction project. The position requires a highly experienced E&I Engineer to ensure project objectives are met from design through to execution and handover. The role is on-site and is expected to last a minimum of 12 months with potential for extension. The candidate will join an established team and contribute significantly to the project's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the E&I Subject Matter Expert / Lead, overseeing design and construction activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Review and validate documentation from the design contractor on-site.
  • Manage electrical design elements, including ATEX and CompEx compliance.
  • Conduct I/O testing, ensuring high-quality installation and operational performance.
  • Provide input on remaining design needs, installation processes, and commissioning phases.

Key Skills:

  • Deep experience in Electrical & Instrumentation within API pharmaceutical or related chemical (COMAH) ATEX / DSEAR environments.
  • Proven track record for end-to-end delivery of complex, high-stakes projects.
  • CompEx certified or equivalent.
  • Background in ATEX, DSEAR or COMAH regulatory standards.
  • High performance in a construction setting, particularly within regulated industries.
