Summary: The E-learning Developer role is a 2-3 month contract focused on creating SCORM files for a learning management system to replace face-to-face training. The position is primarily home-based with occasional travel to a client site in Warwickshire. The developer will collaborate with stakeholders to design engaging content and ensure technical accuracy across platforms. Key responsibilities include maintaining existing courses and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Stakeholders to understand Functional requirements for the Learning Management system.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders to understand learning objectives and translate them into engaging content.
  • Use multimedia elements (graphics, audio, video, animations) to enhance learner engagement.
  • Test and troubleshoot eLearning content for usability and technical accuracy across platforms (LMS, mobile, desktop).
  • Maintain and update existing eLearning courses as needed.
  • Ensure courses meet accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) and work across various browsers and devices.
  • Upload and manage content in Learning Management Systems.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience developing eLearning content and digital training materials.
  • Experience with SCORM 1.2 format.
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools.
  • Solid understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
  • Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI and LMS integration.
  • Basic graphic design and multimedia editing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
