Summary: The EHS Advisor role is a freelance position focused on providing expert guidance on environmental, health, and safety (EHS) matters within the Power & Renewables sector. The advisor will be responsible for developing and maintaining EHS plans, conducting audits, and fostering a safety-first culture across projects. This position requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience, particularly in HV Substation environments. The role is based in Scotland and is expected to last for over 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise and support project teams, contractors, and employees on EHS matters.
- Prepare, implement, and maintain site-specific EHS plans, RAMS, and safety documentation.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations; recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor KPIs, report trends, and drive continuous EHS improvements.
- Deliver training and promote a safety-first culture across projects.
Key Skills:
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- HV Substation experience preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001/45001, CDM regulations, construction safety standards, and EHS management systems.
