Summary: This role is for a temporary 2-year fixed-term Education Mental Health Practitioner/CYPWP within the Cheshire Mental Health Support Team in Crewe, England. The position involves working closely with educational settings to support children, young people, and their families through consultations, training, and evidence-based interventions. Applicants must have or be able to obtain professional registration with a recognized National Body within six months of starting. The role includes delivering low-intensity CBT interventions under clinical supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with schools, colleges, and settings to provide information, advice, and guidance.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions and low-intensity CBT for children, young people, and parents/carers.
- Engage in regular case management and clinical supervision on both individual and group bases.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Cheshire East MHST to support mental health initiatives.
- Assist in the assessment and intervention processes on an individual and wider systems basis.
Key Skills:
- Professional registration with a recognized National Body (BPS, BABCP) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Experience in delivering mental health support to children and young people.
- Knowledge of low-intensity CBT interventions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under clinical supervision and engage in case management.
