Summary: The Education Finance Manager role involves leading financial support for schools and service departments within an East Midlands Local Authority, specifically Leicestershire County Council. Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, interpret, and analyze national school funding policy and its impact on Leicestershire’s maintained schools and academies
- Maintain a timetable of national and local key school funding deadlines and activities with a delivery plan for compliance
- Support and lead the Leicestershire Schools Forum on funding matters to meet statutory responsibilities
- Maintain the Leicestershire Scheme for Financing Schools in compliance with statutory guidance
- Ensure school finance issues are reflected in school-related strategy and corporate reporting
- Support the development of management reports to improve links between corporate and school financial information
- Identify, analyze, and implement options for improving efficiency and service delivery outcomes in schools funding
Key Skills:
- Level 4 Diploma in School Business Management or Level 4 Association of Accounting Technician with evidence of CPD participation
- Experience in an education finance environment and knowledge of the national financial framework for maintained schools and academies
