EDS Build Technician

Summary: The EDS Build Technician role involves supporting the Electrical Systems department of a Luxury Automotive OEM in Woking, Surrey. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, analyzing customer rework requests, and supporting vehicle rework and testing activities. Candidates must have a strong background in wiring harnesses and electrical systems, with a focus on documentation and reporting. This position is offered on a contract basis and is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Electrical Systems department with electrical troubleshooting, issues resolution, solution proven and reporting back to customer team.
• Receive and analyse customer rework requests, analyse documentation and prepare required materials.
• Support vehicle rework and testing activities.
• Closing issues and supporting other engineers from other areas where needed.
• Conduct electrical investigations using basic test equipment.
• Knowledge of electronic circuit design and signal integrity, able to read 2D drawings and identify components.
• Proven experience on reworking LV vehicles, 3-5 years of experience within the wiring harness, EDS.
• Complete all relevant documentation and reports.

Key Skills:

• Experience in electrical troubleshooting and issue resolution.

• Experience in vehicle rework and testing activities.
• Knowledge of electronic circuit design and signal integrity.
• Proficiency in reading 2D drawings and identifying components.
