Summary: The Econometrician / MMM Specialist role is focused on leading econometric modeling and data activities for a global FMCG brand in London. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full econometric modelling lifecycle: data extraction, transformation, model building, validation, and business interpretation.
- Build and refine Marketing Mix Models (MMM) with robust statistical foundations and clear KPI linkages.
- Generate actionable outputs such as ROI analyses, response curves, and optimization tools.
- Perform scenario simulations for budget allocation, marketing strategy, and planning.
- Conduct model diagnostics, ensure methodological robustness, and continuously improve model accuracy.
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience in Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) and econometrics, ideally within FMCG or related sectors.
- Strong command of Python and pandas; working knowledge of R is also a plus.
- Proficient in statistical modelling and ML techniques, including regression, Bayesian inference, and probabilistic programming.
- Experience with PyMC, MCMC methods, and scenario-based optimization.
- Strong SQL (or Spark) skills for large-scale data extraction and preparation.
- Solid foundation in statistical theory and applied mathematics.
- Experience working in cloud-based environments (preferably Azure).
- Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Econometrics, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
