Summary: The eCommerce Marketplace Manager will oversee the management of Amazon and other online marketplaces, focusing on driving sales and launching new products. This role involves collaboration with senior management and participation in a wider EU Amazon working group. The position is based in Leeds and offers a hybrid working arrangement. It is a 12-month maternity cover role with a competitive salary and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy the marketplace strategy for the UK business, working with senior management.
- Manage the day-to-day running and development of all third-party online channels, especially Amazon 1P and 3P.
- Optimize Amazon ads to maximize performance and return on investment.
- Create and optimize product listings to achieve the highest number of views/sales.
- Build and manage a review generation program.
- Support Amazon-specific asset creation for new listings and updates.
- Perform market research on competitors for market growth.
- Create sales reports and provide feedback to the wider team weekly.
- Develop strategies to increase sales, reduce costs, and drive conversion rates.
- Partner with internal teams to develop go-to-market strategies for product launches.
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure product availability and quality.
Key Skills:
- 4+ years of experience on the Amazon platform, preferably both 1P and 3P.
- Experience with other platforms (eBay, OnBuy).
- Strong analytical skills for business strategy decisions.

The Role (12 months maternity cover)
The eCommerce Marketplace Manager will provide day-to-day management of Amazon and other marketplaces and collaborate on strategic leadership and guidance of e-Commerce strategies in conjunction with the Senior International/EU eCommerce Manager and the MD/VP UK, China & International. The focus of the role will be to drive incremental sales of existing products and launch new products on-line. The role will also be part of a wider EU Amazon working group sharing knowledge and best practice and consulting with our US team on reporting and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy the marketplace strategy for the UK business, work in conjunction with the Senior International/EU eCommerce Manager and the VP/MD UK, China & International.
- Manage the day-to-day running and development of all third-party online channels, especially Amazon 1P and 3P.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of marketplace advertising and work with the agency to optimize Amazon ads to maximize performance and return on investment.
- Create and optimize product listings and ensure best practice is followed to achieve the highest number of views/sales.
- Build and manage review generation program.
- Work with Global Amazon Marketing team members to support Amazon specific asset creation for new listings, A+ and brand page updates.
- Perform market research on current competitors for market growth.
- Create sales reports and feed back to the wider team on a weekly basis.
- Determine why certain products are trending up or down, clearly articulate observations and propose strategies to troubleshoot problems.
- Develop strategies to increase sales, reduce costs and drive conversion rate of acquired products including price optimization, PPC, packaging/inserts, coupons and deals, customer communications, creative, changing packaging dimensions, subscribe and save, removing unprofitable products and more.
- Partner with internal teams to develop a go-to-market strategy and facilitate successful, impactful product launches.
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure products are always in stock, premium quality, have updated packaging and have all the appropriate required certifications.
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience on Amazon platform, preferably both 1P and 3P.
- Experience working with other platforms (eBay, OnBuy).
