My client is a part of a group that offers a range of services, including ecological consultancy.
They were established over 40 years ago and have provided services to their clients nationally ever since.
They work on a range of large-scale infrastructure projects as well as conservation and others.
Your new role
We are looking for an Ecologist to support tree climbing works on a major UK infrastructure project.
This is an excellent opportunity that is available full time from September-December with the potential of an extension through till April 2027.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting protected species and habitat surveys
- Tree Climbing
- Assessments and reporting
- Providing ecological advice to site teams and contractors
- Liaising with project stakeholders and environmental specialists
What you'll need to succeed
- Highways Passport and CSCS
- Safety Critical and Medical
- Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue
- Your own PPE
- Previous experience working as an Ecologist within consultancy, construction, or infrastructure environments
- Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and ecological survey methodologies
- Experience undertaking protected species surveys and habitat assessments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to the site
