Summary: The EC&I Commissioning Technician role involves executing commissioning tests and ensuring adherence to quality management systems within the nuclear industry. The position requires accurate reporting and documentation, as well as a focus on safety and compliance with established procedures. This is a night shift position on a 12-month contract, paying up to £54.29 per hour. The role is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adherence to the agreed Commissioning Quality Management System and ensuring that they correctly apply procedures, codes and standards to commissioning activities.
- Functional inputs to Commissioning Deliverables.
- Accurately report job status to the Commissioning Manager.
- Input Commissioning Documentation (including Test Documentation, Commissioning Reservations).
- Follow SSoWs to undertake works safely and report any issues in this regard.
- Responsible for the execution of commissioning tests to schedule.
- Responsible for the satisfactory completion of all commissioning execution records and results, and control of all raw data associated with the tests they carry out.
- Input to the compilation and review of Commissioning LTQR packages.
- Contribute to the safe operation of site, including ESH focus cards.
Key Skills:
- Experience in the nuclear industry.
- Recognised level 3 qualification in a related engineering/construction subject.
- Hold an IOSH Working Safely or IOSH Managing Safely or a CCNSG Safety Passport.
- Electrical Commissioning experience.
- CSCS Affiliated Card.
- Previous site commissioning experience (nuclear).
- 18th Edition IEE Regulations (Electrical).
- Level 3 in Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations.
- Knowledge in Loop Testing.
- Ability to read and interpret Schematic drawings.
