Summary: The role of EC&I Engineer with a design bias involves engaging in long-term contract work focused on electrical, control, and instrumentation engineering within the nuclear sector. The position requires expertise in fault calculations, substation design, and the use of specific modelling software. The engineer will contribute to mission-critical objectives in a specialized environment. Candidates should possess relevant experience and knowledge in the field to support the unique demands of nuclear projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fault calculations in accordance with BS EN 60909 standards.
  • Utilize ETAP modelling software for system analysis.
  • Design and implement protection and control systems for 11kV and 400V.
  • Engage in the design of 11kV and 400V substations.

Key Skills:

  • Working knowledge of BS EN 60909 Fault Calculations.
  • Proficiency in ETAP modelling software.
  • Experience with protection and control systems (11kV & 400V).
  • Experience in 11kV & 400V substation design.
  • Familiarity with design processes and CAD tools such as Trimble, ERACs, and Digsilent.
  • Knowledge of IEC61850 and power system SCADAs.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership in the relevant discipline.
