Summary: The EC&I Commissioning Engineer role at the Sellafield Nuclear Site in Cumbria involves vendor testing, preparation of commissioning test specifications, and execution of testing activities during the IPC commissioning phase. Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out vendor testing witnessing duties at works test.
  • Prepare plant commissioning test specifications.
  • Conduct early inspection of site installation to facilitate system handovers.
  • Execute testing activities throughout IPC commissioning phase.
  • Identify faults and propose and implement solutions.
  • Organize Commissioning Technicians and support resources.
  • Initiate and implement FOBs.
  • Validate Working Level Instructions.
  • Apply and remove Temporary Commissioning Aids.

Key Skills:

  • Nuclear CE&I systems commissioning experience.
  • Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering related subject.
  • Experience in nuclear commissioning.
  • Project management knowledge, preferably APM member.
  • Calculation production using Excel.
  • IOSH Managing Safely.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
  • CSCS/ECS supervisory card relevant to trade.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite.
