Summary: The Early Years Teacher role in Hackney involves leading curriculum development and supporting staff within a Children’s Centre setting to deliver high-quality early education for children aged 0-5. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the development and implementation of the Early Years curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
  • Plan and oversee engaging, age-appropriate learning activities that support children’s development.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, modelling best practice to the wider team.
  • Support staff development through guidance, mentoring, and contributing to in-service training.
  • Differentiating learning to ensure inclusion for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Promote equality, diversity, and respect for children’s languages, cultures, religions, and family backgrounds.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and carers through daily communication, progress reviews, and workshops.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children in line with statutory guidance and child protection procedures.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Post-qualification experience teaching children aged 3–5 years.
  • Strong knowledge of child development from birth to 5 years.
  • In-depth understanding of the EYFS Framework.
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs to access the curriculum.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise written work.
  • Commitment to inclusion, equality, and high standards of early years practice.

Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Early Years Teacher to join a dedicated Early Years & Play service in Hackney. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality early education and ensuring children aged 0–5 receive the best possible start in life.

The Role

As an Early Years Teacher within a Children’s Centre setting, you will lead on curriculum development, support staff practice, and work closely with parents to promote positive outcomes for young children.
