Summary: The role of Early Years Educator (EYE) Assessor involves delivering engaging training and workplace assessments to apprentices in the Early Years sector. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver inspiring training sessions covering Early Years theory & practice
  • Plan lessons, create learning resources and update assessment materials
  • Complete workplace observations and assess learners against the L3 EYE standard
  • Provide constructive feedback and support learners' progress
  • Adapt teaching for learners with SEND or barriers to learning
  • Work collaboratively with employers, tutors and support teams
  • Ensure compliance with awarding body, Ofsted and Barnardo's quality standards
  • Contribute to curriculum development and share best practice
  • Keep up to date with Early Years legislation, pedagogy and sector changes

Key Skills:

  • Childcare/Early Years qualification (L3 or above)
  • Teaching qualification (PTLLS/AET/Cert Ed or equivalent)
  • Experience in Early Years teaching, assessing or professional practice
  • Strong knowledge of Early Years standards, safeguarding and sector requirements
  • Excellent communication, organisation and digital skills
  • A supportive, learner-centred approach and ability to work well in a team
  • Assessing qualification (CAVA, D32/33) (desirable)
  • IQA qualification/experience (desirable)
  • Experience supporting vulnerable young people or those with SEND (desirable)

The Role

We're seeking a motivated EYE Level 3 Tutor/Assessor to deliver engaging training and workplace assessment. You will support apprentices to develop confidence, skills and strong professional practice.
