Executive Assistant - 3-4 Week Sick Leave Cover
Location: Near Maidenhead Town Centre | Temporary | 37 hours per week
Ideally 4 days per week in the office and 1 day working from home
Start date: Monday 21st September 2026
The role
- Provide high-level EA and administrative support to the General Manager and Vice Chairman and members of the Senior Leadership team
- Manage a busy and complex diary, arranging meetings, appointments and travel.
- Take responsibility for a busy inbox, prioritising emails and responding/drafting correspondence where appropriate.
- Prepare briefings, reports, presentations and meeting papers.
- Coordinate complex travel arrangements including flights, hotels, rail and transfers.
- Liaise confidently with senior executives, government representatives, VIPs and external stakeholders.
- Support meetings, events, visits and special projects.
- Help ensure the DG is fully briefed and prepared for meetings and engagements.
- Provide general administrative and organisational support across the Directorate.
- Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has strong previous Senior EA / Executive Assistant experience.
- Is highly organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced, senior-level environment.
- Has excellent diary, inbox and travel management skills.
- Is confident dealing with senior and high-profile individuals.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Is calm, professional and calm under pressure.
- Has strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word and some Excel.
- Can use their initiative and anticipate what is needed without constant supervision.
Location & hours
- Maidenhead
- 37 hours per week
- Hybrid working, although this role is likely to require 3-4 days per week in the office, particularly when the DG or VC are present.
- Occasional additional hours may be required.
Ideal for an experienced EA who can hit the ground running and provide immediate support during a short period of sick leave.
