Summary: The Dynatrace SME role focuses on enhancing observability and resilience within a major UK banking environment. The position requires a Dynatrace expert to collaborate with SREs and application teams to improve monitoring and alerting standards. The role is consultative and high-impact, aimed at driving operational resilience through effective tooling and insights. This is a hybrid position based in London, Edinburgh, or Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and improve Dynatrace monitoring coverage across business-critical services
- Partner with SREs and application teams to enhance alerting and observability standards
- Design and maintain end-to-end visibility of key business processes
- Identify gaps and implement improvements across monitoring configurations
- Support operational resilience initiatives through better tooling and insights
- Facilitate workshops with internal teams and third-party vendors
Key Skills:
- Strong Dynatrace experience (APM, RUM, synthetic, log monitoring)
- Solid understanding of alerting strategies and anomaly detection
- Experience with DQL / Grail and platform integrations
- Background in complex, enterprise or hybrid cloud environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage priorities in fast-paced delivery environments
