Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join a prestigious defence organisation in London. The role involves leading and mentoring a junior Data Engineer while developing critical data pipelines and products. Candidates must hold DV clearance and have expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and SQL Server. This position offers a competitive daily rate and is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide the technical direction of data engineering projects.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, and SQL Server.
• Extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into a new platform.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and build data products that deliver actionable insights.
• Mentor and develop a junior Data Engineer, fostering their growth and skill development.
• Work closely with other developers and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and effective communication.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in data engineering roles, including data pipeline development and data integration.
• Strong proficiency in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, and SQL Server.
• Solid understanding of Python programming language.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
