Summary: The Drilling Superintendent is responsible for overseeing drilling operations, ensuring that wells are drilled and completed according to established programs, timelines, and budgets. This role involves managing personnel, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The superintendent also plays a key role in quality assurance and experience transfer within the drilling unit. A strong emphasis is placed on managerial skills, crisis management, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for planning, coordinating, and executing drilling operations while ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are met.
• Utilize operational networks to enhance work quality and facilitate experience transfer.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and conduct safety inspections as per guidelines.
• Manage personnel and ensure the quality of work and services delivered meets established standards.
• Oversee the selection and timely delivery of equipment and services.
• Monitor rig KPIs and sign invoices for received services/equipment.
• Report non-conformances and facilitate internal and external reporting.
• Ensure quality data from service companies is reported and manage 24-hour operations monitoring.
• Coordinate contractors and service companies, and provide training opportunities for personnel.
• May assume responsibilities for well operations and maintenance as qualified.

Key Skills:

• Relevant college/university education or extensive relevant experience.
• IWCF-approved well control certificate for well operations.
• Minimum of ten years of relevant drilling experience, with at least two years as a drilling supervisor.
• Strong managerial, planning, communication, and motivational skills.
• Ability to set standards, provide feedback, and handle crises effectively.
