Summary: This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a leading biopharmaceutical organization as a Downstream Processing Scientist, focusing on the development of novel drugs. The position involves utilizing expertise in antibody and protein purification to enhance downstream processes and support product manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biological sciences and relevant industrial laboratory experience. Key responsibilities include method development, troubleshooting purification processes, and contributing to technology transfer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of downstream processes for novel drug manufacturing.
- Support product manufacture from bioreactor to finished drug substance.
- Assist in the development and introduction of new methods.
- Troubleshoot issues with purification processes.
Key Skills:
- BSc, MSc + postgraduate experience or PhD in Biological Science (or equivalent).
- Industrial laboratory experience in antibody or protein purification using AKTA.
- Experience or understanding of process development.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of downstream processing, technology transfer, and techniques such as filtration.
