Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Domain Architect based in Belgium for an initial 6 month contract.
Job Spec:
As a Domain Architect you are responsible for the Business Domain. You work together on the corporate Capability map (what) linking to the (how) people, processes, data and systems realizing them.
You work closely together with Portfolio management to define Roadmaps based on the needs of the business and future target state architectures. In case of projects you assure the proper guidance within the established Reference Architecture and IT Vision and Strategy.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- In this role is it is key to have a profound knowledge of Processes and Frameworks typically used within IT such as: IT4IT, ITIL, Information Security Management Systems, Identity and Access Management and improving end- user experience (e.g. New Way of Working in our facilities).
- You are responsible for creating and maintaining the Business & Data Architectures in close cooperation with the Business to understand and model the underlying Business Value.
- You also participate in the selection of vendors and solutions (buy decisions), working closely together with the Solution- and Technical Architects.
- Your mission is to build a sound, consistent and efficient IT and process Architecture for the IT4IT Business, via the following (non-exhaustive) list of responsibilities:
- Develop, document and maintain a Digital Roadmap in close collaboration with the Business (mainly IT4IT) stakeholders and Delivery organization and Portfolio mgmt.
- Assess the Requirements from a Business process perspective, IT and technology perspective (functional and non-functional) and propose IT4IT landscape improvements and rationalization
- Contribute to the Business Capability map linked to the Business Processes and Technologies (digital solutions) in line with the Value Streams and Goals of SNCB
- Verify that the proposed solutions are consistent with other projects and the defined IT Vision and Strategy
- Conduct methodological and detailed investigations of the As-Is situation and document this in the Architecture Repository (ADOIT)
- Perform quality checks on this repository and resolve any inconsistencies and inaccuracies of the knowledge base by getting after and finding the appropriate information
- Monitor the application and technology lifecycle and propose actions to maintain a healthy IT landscape (e.g. assign TIME values on Business Applications)
Experience:
- A minimum of eight years of experience in IT, in closely related domain (working as Domain Architect, Enterprise Architect, Business Analyst, ). This is a Senior profile level position.
- Strategy and Management consulting experience is highly recommended to act as partner for Senior Management and CxO s both from IT- as Business side
- Broad history with hands-on Technology and/or Application Architecture/Engineering is considered an additional asset
Required Knowledge And Skills:
- Language skills: Fluent in Dutch or French and English
- Experience within public Transport or Rail industry is a great asset
- Knowledge of different analysis techniques (e.g. use cases, scenario building )
- Expertise in different notations and methodologies: ArchiMate 3.1, but also BPMN and UML
- Ability to understand and apply the long-term ( Big Picture ) vision vs tactical needs
- Good communicator both to the Business and to C-level
- Excellent presentation skills
- Methodical, thorough and detail-oriented work
- Diplomatic and patient in dealing with people
- Pro-active mentality, strong problem solving techniques, hands-on and organized
- Be able to manage several tasks at the same time, stress resistant
- Excellent stakeholder management skills Be able to go after information and people (with regard to internal and external contacts)
