Summary: The Document Controller will be responsible for managing documentation within Offshore Wind projects, ensuring traceability and accuracy throughout all project phases. This role involves monitoring incoming documents, coordinating data migration to the EDMS, and ensuring the closure of document management processes at project completion. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in document control and strong computing skills, particularly with MS Office and SharePoint. Fluency in English and residency in Japan are required, with Japanese language skills being a desirable asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- To work within the Document Management function for Offshore Wind projects
- To execute the function task of ensuring traceability for all documentation during all phases of the project, including handover and operations
- Ensure accuracy in storage and ease of retrieval of all project documentation
- Monitor incoming documents and drawings, and distribute as appropriate in accordance to a project distribution matrix
- Ensure closure of all document management processes at project end, including the expediting of close out reports, giving an overview of all documentation produced in the project
- The coordination of data-sets to be migrated to the EDMS on a project
Key Skills:
- Relevant experience in a document controller role (3 to 5 years)
- Previous experience working in large multidiscipline engineering projects within a document control function
- Strong general computing skills especially MS office, including Outlook; Word; Excel; PowerPoint and Access & MS SharePoint
- Strong communication, report writing and presentation skills
- Fluent in English
- Resident of Japan
