Summary: The Document Controller role involves managing document processes for a high-profile decommissioning and carbon capture project within an engineering and construction company. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely transmission of technical documents (e.g. progress reports, engineering drawings) between project stakeholders.
  • Support project logistics, organisation and risk/opportunity assessments alongside the Project Manager.
  • Establish and maintain document control processes, workflows, templates, and compliance tracking.
  • Oversee document lifecycle activities including submissions, approvals and traceability.
  • Manage final documentation handover and ensure knowledge transfer and best practices.
  • Provide training and support for Document Management tools and processes, including remote site support.
  • Coordinate document reporting, register management, and distribution lists.

Key Skills:

  • 8–10 years’ experience in technical and engineering document control, ideally within a construction or industrial project setting.
  • Worked on similar projects, ideally EPC/EPCM for an Engineering service provider.
  • Strong understanding of document lifecycles and the role documentation plays in engineering/construction environments.
  • Familiarity with project documentation standards and tools.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong communication and organizational skills.

Contract Type: Full-time Contractor (Outside IR35). All inclusive hourly rate. Full-time: Monday to Friday. Saturday working half day

Start Date: November 2025 (12 month contract with possible extension)

Airswift is recruiting for an experienced Document Controller to join a high profile project focused on decommissioning and carbon capture & storage for a leading engineering and construction company. Reporting to the Document Control Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the project by ensuring efficient document management in line with internal procedures and project requirements.
