Summary: The Document Controller will play a crucial role in managing document management processes for a CCS project, reporting to the Document Controller Manager. This position involves ensuring timely transmission of technical documents, establishing document management processes, and providing support and training on Document Management Tools. The role requires significant experience in handling technical documentation, particularly in a construction site context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely transmission of technical documents between the client and end client.
  • Assist in project organization and logistics, supporting the Project Manager in risk and opportunity management.
  • Establish and maintain document management processes, including project progress tracking and compliance with procedures.
  • Control and monitor documentation lifecycle, including client approvals and document submissions.
  • Oversee final documentation handover to the client and ensure knowledge retention.
  • Provide support and training on Document Management Tools and procedures.
  • Manage reporting and data activities, including organizing registers and progress/control reports.

Key Skills:

  • 8-10 years of experience in handling technical and engineering documentation.
  • Basic industrial knowledge with the ability to understand the purpose of each document.

Document Controller - New Job Opportunity - 12 Month Outside IR35 Contract

Location: Talacre, North Wales

Rate: Negotiable dependant on experience

Contract Length: initially 12 months (with 2-3 years of work)

Hours: 50 hours per week on site - occasional Saturday mornings

Job Purpose: As Document controller, you will report to the Document controller manager. You will be part of our Clients CCS project to support in analysing and managing the document management processes and activities in accordance with Saipem procedures. You will provide monitoring of resources and interface with Document Controllers, Function Representatives or Document Service Assistants involved in the Project on Document Management topics.

Responsibilities :

  • Ensure timely transmission of the technical documents between our client and the end client such as progress reports or engineering drawings
  • Assist in project organization and logistics, including analysis of involved entities and support to the Project Manager in risk and opportunity management.
  • Establish and maintain document management processes, including project progress tracking, document workflows, templates, and compliance with methodology and procedures.
  • Control and monitor documentation lifecycle, such as client approvals, document submissions, formal correctness, and linking to related activities or structures.
  • Oversee final documentation handover to the client and ensure knowledge retention and best practices in document management.
  • Provide support and training on Document Management Tools and procedures, including help desk services and assistance for remote sites.
  • Manage reporting and data activities, including organizing registers, master data lists, internal distribution, and progress/control reports.

Experience: 8-10 years in handling incoming technical and engineering documentation, preferably in a construction site context or similar
