Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity available with one of our leading telecommunications clients. They are looking for an experienced DNS Lifecycle Project Manager to join a major infrastructure transformation programme focused on upgrading critical DNS platforms and delivering secure, resilient network services.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
As the DNS Lifecycle Project Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of key projects within a large-scale DNS Lifecycle programme, ensuring successful deployment of new DNS platforms while coordinating multiple stakeholders across engineering, security, and commercial teams.
- Lead the delivery of DNS platform life cycle upgrades, including Essential Security, Authoritative DNS and DNS Cache platforms.
- Manage project plans, timelines, risks, budgets, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery against programme milestones.
- Coordinate internal engineering, cybersecurity, product, commercial teams, and third-party vendors throughout the project life cycle.
- Produce and maintain project documentation, governance reports, risk registers, and delivery updates for senior stakeholders.
- Support the development of operational procedures, governance processes, and incident response planning for the upgraded DNS environment.
Required Skills/Experience: The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Experience delivering telecoms infrastructure projects as a Project Manager, ideally within regulated environments.
- Strong experience managing Agile delivery programmes using methodologies such as SAFe and Scrum, supported by a recognised certification (PRINCE2, PMP, SAFe or Scrum).
- Proven background delivering network infrastructure projects involving core IP, fibre, mobile, or similar telecommunications technologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, risk management, documentation, and communication skills with experience using MS Project, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Excel.
Desirable Skills/Experience: Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:
- Previous experience delivering DNS infrastructure or DNS life cycle projects within a telecommunications environment.
- Knowledge of telecoms security controls, network resilience, access management, and supply chain risk management.
- Experience conducting vendor risk assessments and working with third-party technology suppliers.
- Understanding of telecoms threat modelling, resilience testing, and cybersecurity governance.
