About ExperienceFirst ExperienceFirst is a global tour operator delivering top-rated experiences in iconic cities like Paris, New York, Barcelona, Madrid and beyond. With a strong track record in direct-to-consumer operations, we’re now expanding into the B2B travel space by launching a Destination Management Company (DMC) arm of our business. We already operate our own tours end-to-end and have deep on-the-ground expertise in our core markets, especially in Paris, New York, Barcelona and Madrid. This gives us a strong foundation to provide white-labeled operational support to other travel businesses looking to deliver high-quality experiences in our destinations. To bring this vision to life, we’re seeking a DMC Strategy Consultant to lead the creation and go-to-market planning of this new business line.

What this role involves… This is a rare chance to build something new with the backing of an established operator, a motivated leadership team, and operational muscle already on the ground. We’re not starting from zero, we just need the right expert to help us connect the dots, position ourselves smartly, and bring in the right kind of business. You’ll work directly with our Founder and CEO, our leadership team, and regional teams to:

  • Strategic Positioning

Define the role of the DMC within the ExperienceFirst Group Craft clear and differentiated positioning in the DMC market, aligned with our capabilities and brand architecture Benchmark competitors and identify white space opportunities Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy Define key service offerings (e.g. FIT, MICE, incentives, group experiences) Identify high-potential customer segments (corporate travel, inbound operators, travel agencies, event planners, etc.) Advise on pricing, packaging, and delivery models Recommend sales and marketing channels for customer acquisition Build and begin populating a qualified sales leads pipeline to support future business development efforts Focus on demand generation from day one. This includes mapping target accounts, identifying entry points, and recommending early outreach tactics to drive interest and qualified leads Develop a phased roadmap for launch, growth, and regional expansion Lay the groundwork for sustainable revenue streams and long-term growth Partnership & Business Development Leverage your existing network to introduce prospective clients, trade partners, and supplier contacts Take a proactive approach to identifying and initiating new business relationships. Early pipeline traction is key to validating our positioning and offer Guide us on how to win trust and contracts within the B2B travel ecosystem Explore potential joint ventures or white-label partnerships Operational Frameworks Provide best-practice models for DMC operations (fulfilment, client servicing, vendor contracting, trip planning, etc.) Advise on team structure, talent requirements, and tools/tech stack for scalable delivery Help define what regional teams will own vs. what sits centrally

Who We’re Looking For This is a unique opportunity to help build a DMC from the ground up. You’ll bring deep industry expertise, strong commercial instincts, and proven experience in the DMC to shape everything from strategy to operations. Must-Have Experience: Proven experience building or running a DMC (agency, operator, or supplier side) in France, Spain and/ or North America An existing network of relevant partners and suppliers to support fast lead generation and sales pipeline development Deep knowledge of the travel trade ecosystem, including DMOs, OTAs, travel agencies, and event planners Track record in go-to-market planning for new travel services or B2B propositions Strong commercial and strategic acumen: you know how to spot, evaluate, and capitalise on opportunities Ability to balance high-level strategic vision-setting with hands-on execution guidance.
