Summary: The role of Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Manager involves overseeing disaster recovery strategies and ensuring compliance within a fast-paced small to medium-sized industry environment. The position requires in-depth knowledge of disaster and service continuity, including the implementation of resilient plans and regular risk assessments. The manager will collaborate with service owners and support incident teams while providing reports to senior stakeholders. This engagement is structured as an umbrella contract, requiring three days on-site work per week for a duration of 3-6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement disaster recovery strategies and ensure plans are resilient and compliant.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments of the IT estate.

Detailed Description From Employer:

Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity/MBCI/Outstanding Comms. Umbrella Engagement. 3 days per week on site. 3-6 month engagement. Must have worked in the Small/Medium sized Industry sector - but must be a faced paced environment.

Will need to have in depth knowledge in all aspects of Disaster and Service Continuity. eg Implementation of DR Strategy and that all plans are resilient and compliant.

Carrying out regular risk assessments of IT estate, working with multiple service owners, ensuring compliance of best practices. Supporting Problem and Incident teams. Must also have experience in developing and testing DR plans in a large environment.

Provide regular reports to Senior Stakeholders.
